To really learn Photoshop CS2 you must find high quality tutorials and go through them one by one. It’s only through practice that you will become proficient.

The magic swirl tutorial isn’t a stunning tutorial in my opinion. The effect itself has become a bit overused lately.

Some fantastic tutorials there. I know a previous commenter says the swirl tutorial has been overdone, and maybe it has in some circles, but I still find it impressive and am staggered at how easy it actually is to do!
I’ve been working on a few backgrounds recently and finding it difficult (not being the most artistic of people) so will be looking to include a few swirls!
