@Sam and Simon i guess that idea is a bit controversial…coz when i tried that via directly contacting the owner they always come up and strike in huge sum of money..well at least till mow i haven’t found any of them offering to keep my link for free or for 1 or 2 dollars!!!

And probably the thing post is trying to say is practical…in some cases…

Hi Gaje, I think your “nasty little Habit” is one of the key methods of getting other bloggers to your site! I think there is a pretty good case for all new bloggers to write about other blogs in their niche. Cheers.

This isn’t a bad idea. I have a nasty little habit of posting about other blogs. This has helped me to get some attention also. I write a post about their blog and most of them return the favor or at least mention me, without me asking them too. Not bad huh?

good idea, but why not just contact the site owner directly and try to strike up a conversation? it seems this would get their attention more than 1 or 2 extra referrals in their stats.
