Kick butt portfolio WordPress theme

Written by Dusty. Posted in Themes

Ever felt like your personal/portfolio website was a little bland?  I did, and recently went on a hunt for a standout, top-notch portfolio theme for WordPress.  I found Shapeshifter by epicera.  What’s so special about it?  Designed to offer quick, single page navigation, the theme is powered by WordPress pages, not posts.  Clicking the menu glides to a new area of the page.

What’s more, the theme comes with some super-snazzy sliders as seen in the demo.  Also, integration with Contact Form 7 is icing on the cake.  Check out Shapeshifter in live action here. Or, go right over to ThemeForest and give it a go.

I just clicked around in the live demo – very cool. I really like those sliders. I’m tempted to make some sort of portfolio just so that I could use this theme, lol. Seriously, it’s very clean and professional looking. Thanks for writing about it. My one complaint is that it’s all one long page, which isn’t great for SEO.

Believe me, I love all these fancy wordpress themes, but as your traffic increases, then you come to know that your cool WP theme is taking all the CPU consumption. I love basic, easy to modify themes.

Very modern and stylish theme. Definitely perfect for portfolio and small website owners.

I disagree that the use of this template in sites with high traffic will cause too much CPU resources in the server. This behaves the same as any other WP templates and the slides do not require additional trips to the server and only uses JavaScript to attain that effect. Cool idea for a WP template!

Extremely inspirational showcase. The more I read down the page the more jealous I get! These are definitely inspiring.

The good part is that one can find these portfolio themes for free. Who ever thought that your site can look so good with a free theme?

This is actually a very stylish theme and would work really well for photography as well. I might use it for my next site as I’m a hobby photographer. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing a simple yet functional theme with us. I think I will use this for my blog just to experiment and see how my readers will like it. The design, although simple, appeals to me a lot as a person. Great themes and site too!

    Hi Cyrus,

I just checked the page and the theme. The price is …. a very good price, the theme truly deserves (at LEAST) 30$, I’m looking forward to buying this theme.

    Best regards,

I checked it out and I like the way it was designed, indeed. It could be just about the simplest theme I could possibly utilize for my site.
