Top 10 list of lists

Have you noticed the dramatic increase in “list” posts?  They often have title like “10 best free magazine style WordPress themes” and “10 best social media plugins”.  We, too, enjoy a list here and there.  We thought it would be fun (and funny) to come up with our own top 10 list of  lists.

  1. Lists are what it’s all about man! I think we are all aware of the limited attention span that most people cruising the web have, and that is why lists are so worthwhile. People like there information to be laid out directly in front of them in an easy format that is quick to read. I know that I am a huge fan of lists! This post makes me think that I need to give lists a try on my blog! I will have to figure out a way to work that in.

I had a question for you, since you seem like such a wordpress master, Do you know of any wordpress plugin that will allow you to easily insert picture bullet points in your blog without having to use css coding in your post. I haven’t found such a plugin as of yet, and I have been searching for awhile now. I know I can change the way the bullet points look with css, but it would be so much more helpful if I had a button on my TinyMCE editor that would automatically let me choose a specific picture (i.e star, check mark, arrow etc.) as my bullet points for my list. Just thought you might be able to shed some light on this for me. If there isn’t one, maybe I should create one…this could be a possibility if I had any idea how to create a plugin! Anyway, sorry for the random blurb, again I say thanks for such a great blog full of such comprehensive content!

  2. I think the reason “top xx lists” are so popular these days is because Google also seem to like them a lot. Especially if you are searching for something on WordPress.

Also, of course these lists are lot more useful than google search.
